While life is full of surprises, joyfulness, and laughter, it also brings painful moments.
The moment we realize that there is nothing left, we may be facing a new starting point, a new life!
I remember the day I was sitting in our meadow and gazing into the distance. It was one of these days I needed a moment of solitude, a moment away from the rest of the world. I closed my eyes, smiled and reopened them slowly. The nut tree in front of me, the same as the moment before appeared to me differently. Suddenly I felt optimistic and creative. That night I started to create, to use my imagination and simply play with Nature.
This was the the inception of the Eco Farm Rečnik-Pekošak, brand which stands for exquisite, unique products full of genuine natural taste. A new trademark Ludus Naturae - play of nature - was born!
Now I realize that time changes and people change with time as well. Each and every one of us has our own phase, so does the Nature!
Therefore, after years of creating, lovers of my products, as well as walnuts are willing to see the walnut grove where all this is happening.
The ecological farm is situated in Ponikva in Štajerska, in the vicinity of the Anton Martin Slomšek's Birth House. Nearby is also a monastery Žička Kartuzija and city Šentjur with its charming story.
Nowadays the eco farm is visited by diverse groups, from modern nomads to families with children.
For this purpose, a special degustation room has been opened next to the grove, encouraging you to indulge yourself in the variety of walnut products.
Visitors are always invited to enjoy our hospitality, however to make the experience as memorable and unique, they are encouraged to set an appointment and enjoy the play of nature - Ludus Naturae.

CHOCOLATE PRODUCTS
The main ingredients of our products are dried organic nuts which can be combined with white or dark chocolate.DARK OR WHITE CHOCOLATE PRALINES

During the harvesting season (Autumn) the nut kernels are gathered every day. After nuts are carefully harvested and sorted they are passed through special drying system. After three days, kernels are dry and are manually hulled. In this way we obtain high-quality split nut kernels. Our kernels do not taste bitter, moreover, they have genuine sweet taste. We use them to make luxurious, unique pralines.
Our products are always fresh with no preservatives used and have therefore a short expiry date.
Nuts and chocolate make a perfect combination of refined enchanting taste.
COATED NUT KERNELS WITH WHITE OR DARK CHOCOLATE

WALNUT OIL
The walnut oil is cold pressed from nut kernels. Its colour is golden brown; it has a meek flavour and pleasant aroma of walnut.The cold pressing process enables to preserve essential nutrients, so the cold pressed oil is rich in anti-oxidants, unsaturated fatty acids, mainly in omega-3 fatty acid.
It is rich with vitamins: A, C and E and minerals such as Ca, S, P, Cl, Na, K, Mg, Fe, Cu, Mn and Zn.
That's why our slogan is: Walnut kernels are good for your health because they keep your heart healthy and also keep you mentally alert.
The tempo of modern life is full of stress. An excessive biological reaction to stress increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The nut oil lowers blood pressure as well as blood sugar and cholesterol. It also preserves cell integrity, alerts one's mind and improves physical performance; likewise, it helps to improve your metabolism to burn more fat and treats skin problems since it has regenerative qualities.
The walnut oil can be used for cosmetic purposes as well (dermal use) and for culinary use, of course. Unrefined nut oils are best used unheated for seasoning and salad dressings. Because of their low smoking point they are not suitable for frying or baking since the processes destroy the essential anti-oxidants and vitamins that are present in the oil.

DELIGHTS FROM SLOMŠEK'S PONIKVA
Slom pri Ponikvi is a Slovene village where Anton Martin Slomšek, Slovene poet, author, educator and a big patriot was born on the 26th of November 1800. Many of his poems and fables have been preserved. With his works he wanted to emphasise the truth in an interesting way and with the intention to educate, encourage and entertain humans.One of the well-known poems is "I will buy a little hill".
